2. Exercise

Staying active is necessary for a healthy and long life. A long life does no good if it is not healthy. Here, we are not talking about the intense gym in the morning that we see these days. Indulge in something you enjoy and help your body to stay fit. It can be a long walk, a stroll in the park or tending your garden.

3. Reduce Stress

The modern world have given us technology as well as stress. While technology has helped in many ways, there is stress that is taking the life of plenty and making life miserable as well. If you observe carefully, you will find that village life is peaceful and unhurried, which does not build up stress.

4. Social Life

A good social life can help you stay away from depression, isolation and mental diseases. You can spend leisure time with friends and relatives and share your feelings with them. This helps a lot if you are living alone. Love and intimacy are a necessity of a happy and long life.

5. Have a Purposeful Life

Living just for the sake of living will definitely not increase your life span. Centenarians are also happy people because they have a mission in life. They help others build a happy life by helping them in need and providing aid when necessary. Every morning you get up with a purpose in life.
