“Innovation distinguishes between Leader and follower” -Steve Jobs
Creativity is about utilizing your time in an innovative endeavor. You need to realize that each one of us has a Midas touch. Your creative genius can prove to be an inspiration for many. Your imaginativeness can lead to greater innovations influencing the lives of one and all.
The Hidden Talent
Creativity is the hidden talent within you that helps you in overcoming the ineptness and enhancing the dexterity to bring out the flair in you. It helps you to break all the limitations, develop knack and competency to perform.
Also, it helps to create and develop your natural endowment.
The Natural Gift
We all are gifted. We have immense potential. All we need to do is to make a genuine directional effort to harness this gift of high intellect.
Explore your inner-self. Nobody can come and guide you in doing so. Only you can do this and you will.
Cultivating your Creativity
“When we think alike, then no one is thinking.” -Walter Lippman
The first and foremost thing to be a creative genius is that you need to think in a different way about something that everyone sees but does not realize it differently.
“The essential part of creativity is not being afraid to fail” -Edwin H Land
Creativity is an art. It is the endowment that just needs to be polished and brushed up; molded and sculpted with the right tools to give it an accurate shape and finish. The talent within you if left unexplored, will remain as a lump of mud that could not be molded or as an insculpted piece of stone.
I know I don’t paint well. I spent twenty-five years of my life struggling with brushes. But this failure did not deter me! Two years back, I started free hand sketching with a pen and to my surprise; my black and white sketches have been praised by everyone who has had a glance of them.
Now my inability to add colors to my creations does not bother me as my line sketches are helping me spread smiles.
It is very important to overcome the fear of failure.
“Genius is one percent inspiration and Ninety-nine percent perspiration” -Thomas Edison
A friend of mine loved children. But she was always scared of taking up teaching as a career out of the fear that it would be a great burden to teach and manage toddlers and tiny-tots at school. Lately, with her mother’s encouragement she started organizing drawing competitions and other activities for children in her colony.
This made her befriend many kids nearby. Eventually, kids started dropping up at her place and their mothers started requesting her if she could guide them in their studies. This made her dream come true as apart from enjoying her time with kids her confidence got boosted that she could also do something. Especially she felt joyous as she started doing something that she always wanted to do.
It is said, “Whatever the mind of a man can conceive, it can achieve.”
Creativity – final words
You will need to work against all odds. People will mock at you. You might face sarcasm. But what is to be remembered with patience is that,
“The world is but a canvas to our imaginations” -Henry David Thoreau
Once your imagination manifests, the joy you feel is indescribable in words.
“The joy is in creating, not maintaining” -Vince Lombardi
