Value of Time – Find it or Lose it

Value of Time

The value of time, as they say, is money . . . and it is well proven. Everybody knows how valuable time is. Yet, everybody seems to be complaining that they do not have time. A fraction of a second can make a difference between life and death. But have you ever wondered why it is so and what has happened that leaves you with no time at all?

The simple fact is you have become too lazy to get active and finish your daily tasks. It’s just that all the pressures of the job and the stress in life has made you lazy or tired and there is simply no enthusiasm left in you to do things that you love or take time out for activities that involve people you like and love. If you do not plan your life, you are sure to kill time.

Is it difficult to create more time?

The answer to this lies within you. How eager are you to get that extra time for yourself, or how badly you want to do the thing, which needs extra time from you.

I am not saying it is easy or you just need to figure out what and how to do things. But, you know people always say” if only I had more time, I would . . . ” Well this is all excuses and facts. What happens here is you are waiting for the time to appear all by itself.

You are actually waiting for things to change or maybe your circumstances . . . there is nothing such thing as more time. The more you accept you do not have time, the more you are falling prey to that circumstance. I know you need extra time for yourself . . . your family . . . friends . . . or to simply enjoy life! Nothing wrong with that . . . then again it comes back to the question, is it difficult to find time?

Value of Time  –  Simple ways to get that special time

Now you would say how I could tell you how to manage your time, when you are busy from dawn to dusk. But people remember there is no hard and fast rule here. I give you some simple tips and you will have to think how you would use these tips and make use of it according to your situations. Still interested?

Manage your daily tasks

Please decide what is important to you. Remember there is something that needs most of your time (like your job, kids, business etc.). Keeping that in mind, make a list of things that are important to you for that day alone. This will help you keep away the unimportant task for tomorrow and have a little time for yourself.

Schedule your day

Begin your day by prioritizing one important task. Add in things that are important for the next day as well, such as meetings, preparing projects and completing assignments. This will definitely give you space and energy for the next day as well. The passage of time allows an individual to grow. This growth gives experience.

Your day should be clean of unnecessary “hanging out” with people who you think might be of any help to you, but in fact are not. This can be done once in a while, but not every day. If you have kids and lots of domestic chores, then it is a 24/7 job. But remember, you can get help from friends, relatives or a babysitter.

Computers can also be the culprit

How long do you stare at your computer answering emails, or checking social networking sites? You can definitely cut this down. Do you know most people spend hours staring at the computer? Important business emails may take around 10 to 15 minutes. That’s sufficient. The rest can be done once in a while.

Conclusion – value of time

Face the facts: Time is mostly spent on commuting, working, making money and chalking out plans for the next day. You can work out these things but know where to stop, because you have to know your limits and better prioritize things. Time does not wait for you or anybody else. Time is an asset. If you play with time, time will play with you.

Time is what we want most, but what we use worst. ~ William Penn (Tweet this)

This is for you to decide how much is enough . . . and that is the point. When will you find time for yourself? A careful glance into the life history of successful men and women all over the world will reveal the basic truth that success is the outcome of planned utilization of time. Yet time is said to have no holiday. It exists always.

The value of time is limitless. Once time crosses into the threshold of the past, it never again returns to the ‘present.’ Those who have realized this basic truth of life, never allow time to pass away unused.

We should invest time carefully as to receive the most we can in health, happiness, love and success. The clock is ticking, so make the most of your time and manage it efficiently!
